Community Involvement

Skaja, Daniels, Lister & Permito, LLP believes that businesses have an obligation to be involved in their communities.  As such, the Partners in this firm have donated hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars annually to various community organizations.

Carl J. Skaja, Esq. is a Past-President of the Escondido Rotary Club and has been an active member since 1997.  He is also a past Chairman of the Board of the Escondido Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the Escondido Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year award in 2005.  Mr. Skaja ran the campaign to pass an $84,000,000 bond for the construction of a new police and fire headquarters and the construction of three new fire stations in Escondido.  Afterwards he was appointed Chairman of the Citizens Oversight Committee to make certain that the taxpayers’ money was spent properly.  Currently, Carl is serving his third consecutive year as Chairman of the Board for the Palomar Family YMCA in Escondido.

Robert M. Daniels, Esq. served on the City of Escondido Public Art Commission.  Additionally, Robert donated his time to the Interfaith Council by giving legal advice to indigent members of the community.  Currently Mr. Daniels serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego County.  In addition, Mr. Daniels is a member of the Escondido Rotary Club and is actively involved on several committees.

Richard J. Lister, Esq. has given substantial amounts of time serving as an instructor at University of California Extension, Riverside Legal Assistant Program and has given time sharing his experiences at the Riverside County Bar Association Civil Litigation Workshops.  In addition, Dick Lister has actively served in the San Diego County Bar Association and was the President in 1981.
